The various icons and buttons of visitor console are explained below.
• Chat sound on/off icon– Whenever an agent sends a chat to visitor, the system will generate a notification sound at visitor’s console. If notification sound is turned off, the icon on the above screen will be shown as
• File Attachment Button– This feature allows a visitor to attach a file and send it over to the corresponding agent.
• Email Transcript– A visitor has the option to Email a transcript of the chat to the other recipients. To send the transcript, a visitor needs to click on
button and the following pop-up box appears on the screen-
Click on button after entering the mail address of the recipient.
Note– The button will be enabled only if the entered email is valid.
•Send Button- This button is used to send the chats on the other end, after typing the sentence in the box as shown below-
The Pop-up chat window shown above have a color theme set from admin panel, where the color of send button is same like that of the chat window. Further, the send button of the chat window could also be set to custom color from admin panel. This makes the color of button different from the window, like the one as shown below-
• End Chat Button- A visitor can use this button to end chat with the operator on the other end. When a visitor clicks
button, the following confirmation pop-up box is displayed on the console-
When visitor clicks on button, the chat will be disconnected.
